Tetra Pak Processing Systems A/S, Tetra Pak Ice Cream, the world's leading supplier of machinery and lines for the production, treatment, and packing of ice cream products, is seeking a talented Team Leader to join our Automation Engineering Team in Aarhus, Denmark. 

Our Automation Engineering Team is a group of over c.a. 25 innovative and competent colleagues who are responsible for designing and developing automation solutions for ice cream production equipment.  

What you will do

As the Team Lead, reporting to the Business Stream Automation Manager, you will lead a team of 11 Automation Software Engineers and product specialists based in Aarhus. Your role will involve driving resource and competence planning to align with long and short-term business needs. In addition, you will conduct automation design reviews with team members and utilize your technical expertise to deliver software solution designs and implementations.
 
While overseeing processes and tools to ensure their effective application, you will also analyze and assist in issue resolution and support the development of individuals within the department, aligning their competencies with the requirements of the business.

This pivotal role involves not only leading a team, but also having hands-on automation engineering tasks.

We welcome experienced automation engineers who have the ambition to take on people management tasks while also engaging in hands-on operational automation engineering tasks.

To excel in this position, the ideal candidate will hold an engineering degree with a keen interest in automation, electrical systems, digitalization, and production processes. They should possess a minimum of 10 years of practical experience as an engineer in the food industry or automation design, ideally accompanied by people management experience with engineers. Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI systems, particularly Rockwell and Siemens, is expected, as well as leadership skills.
 

Furthermore, effective communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders, colleagues, and customers are essential. Collaboration is highly valued, and you should recognize the significance of working seamlessly with others throughout the entire value chain. As a dynamic and results-driven problem solver, you will exhibit a strong personal drive for success. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Danish is preferable. The role may involve occasional travel, approximately 20-30 days per year.
