Job Summary

Tetra Pak Processing Systems A/S (Tetra Pak Ice Cream) –The world´s leading supplier of machinery and lines for production, treatment and packing of Ice Cream products – is looking for an Automation Engineer to take the role as automation software designer in our Line Solution team.
 
The Automation Engineering Team, located in Aarhus, Denmark, is a competent and innovative team of +20 colleagues who have the responsibility for development and design of automation solutions for production equipment in the ice cream industry. 

What you will do

The responsibilities as automation designer will among others be:

  • Design, development and implementation of PLC based software solutions for our equipment
  • Continuously improve the existing software solutions and version manage the code base
  • Work experience on PLC platforms such as Siemens S7, TIA Portal and/or Allen Bradley
  • Planning of your own time in projects and technical tasks (with Product Specialist)
  • Verify software solutions and validate functionality of equipment
  • Evaluation of technical solutions together with mechanical team
  • Broad contact within the organization throughout all phases in our projects
  • Regular contact with colleagues from Tetra Pak's global market companies and customers for technical/commercial support.
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting via remote connection or at customer site
  • Provide and secure input to technical documentation and manuals
  • Solid knowledge of functional safety, motion, mechatronics and network topology
  • An embedded desire to be up to date with the latest trends in industrial automation
  • You strive for best quality solutions
  • You are a problem solver (analytical, systematic and structured) with a strong personal drive

We believe you have

  • Professional engineer with knowledge of electrical, automation and/or control engineering
  • Minimum B.Sc. level degree in the field of Engineering or similar
  • More than 5 years of experience in development and design of modular automation solutions, preferably in the food processing industry
  • MS Office literacy
  • Ability to maintain overview and take decisions while delivering personal results
  • Motivated by taking responsibility for the quality in your part of the project
  • Collaborate across the value chain and recognize the importance of good cooperation
  • Strong communication skills – ability to interact with people, be it stakeholders, colleagues or customers
  • Proficiency in English language is required. And Danish language an advantage
  • Willingness to travel up to 40 days/year
