Job Summary

Tetra Pak is the world-leading supplier of food processing and packaging solutions. The department in Aalborg is responsible for development and manufacture of mixer solutions for the global food processing industry. Tetra Pak mixer solutions are widely recognized as state-of-the-art and the industry benchmark.  

We are now looking for a Technical Product Expert who will play a key role in the  

development of innovative mixing solutions and the continuous improvement of our existing product portfolio. 

The position is permanent and based in Aalborg, Denmark (Tetra Pak Processing Systems A/S). You will report to Head of Centre of Expertise for Mixing. 

What you will do

As a core technical expert, you will provide guidance and support to sales, project manufacturing, service, and other internal stakeholders across global organizations, as well as directly to customers. You will contribute to solving complex technical challenges and ensuring best-in-class mixing performance and product quality. 

Main responsibilities: 

• Mechanical Design: CAD models, fabrication drawings, material selection, and structural/fluid calculations for state-of-the-art mixing equipment 
• Process Design: P&I diagrams, size process lines and components, and optimize advanced fluid dynamics components 
• Mixing and applications: Develop, design, and optimize mixing technologies for food, beverage, dairy, and other liquid food applications 
• Cross-Functional Integration: Bridge the gap between physical machinery and digital control by aligning process designs with automation and electrical requirements 
• Digital Innovation: Explore, champion, and implement AI and machine learning concepts to optimize mixer functionality, predictive maintenance, and process efficiency 
• Test and validation: Test and validation of prototypes and new design solutions 
• Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to sales, project execution, manufacturing, service, and other internal stakeholders across global organizations, as well as directly to customers 
• Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team 

We believe you have

• Technical Elite: A proven expert in both mechanical design and process engineering, preferably within the hygienic or food processing industry 
• Systems Thinker: Highly capable of understanding integration of automation and electrical systems into mechanical designs 
• Future-Oriented: Passionate about digital transformation, with knowledge of or a strong interest in applying AI/ML to industrial processing 
• Academic Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline 
• Product Development Experience: Several years of experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Product Developer, or in a similar engineering development role 
• You are fluent in both written and spoken English
