As our new Business Development Manager – High Shear Mixers, you will be part of a leading global company where our vision is to make food safe and available, everywhere. Within Tetra Pak Channel Management & Key Components Sales Hub Europe, we are looking for an experienced, highly motivated person to take the position of Business Development Manager (High Shear Mixers). You’ll be joining a small, high-performing team that collaborates closely with our colleagues across markets and business streams.
Our preferred location is Tetra Pak Danmark A/S in Aarhus, Denmark — but for the right candidate, we're open to other Tetra Pak Processing Market Company sites across Europe. This role involves 25–50% travel.
What you will do
As Business Development Manager – High Shear Mixers, you will be responsible for developing the High Shear Mixer business and providing Mixer expertise across Europe. Your role is to contribute with application knowledge and sales support to drive growth. You will be a part of a team dedicated to growing the key component business in Europe.
- Regional Portfolio Strategy: Define and implement a regional portfolio strategy aligned with global directives and tailored to local market needs. Ensure scalability of regional and local measures to maximize return on investment across diverse country-specific contexts.
- Action Plan Execution: Break down strategic initiatives into actionable plans with:
- Measurable targets and milestones
- Assigned owners and responsible markets
- Regular progress updates
- Cross-functional support (e.g., Commercial Product Managers)
- Product Lifecycle Management: Develop business cases and deployment plans for product introductions, upgrades, or discontinuations based on market demand and profitability analysis.
- Commercial Excellence and Deal Management
- Deal Oversight: Manage commercial deals and opportunities, ensuring compliance with pricing, margin, and risk assessment practices.
- Opportunity Management: Oversee lead and opportunity pipelines to:
- Maximize win rates
- Maintain and analyze lost opportunity logs
- Establish mitigation plans for underperforming markets
- Customer & Channel Business Development
- Customer Needs & Competitive Analysis: Actively evaluate customer needs and competitor strongholds to identify new business development opportunities. Develop targeted win-back strategies and deployment plans in collaboration with Market Operations (MO) and KC business units.
- Channel Collaboration: Partner with Regional Channel Managers to support channel development initiatives and tactical business development projects.
- Innovation & Product Development: Drive identification of:
- New products and services for channel sales
- Product development needs
- Key market trends and emerging technologies
- Performance Tracking & Sales Enablement
- Sales Support: Lead customer and channel business development activities, including sales support efforts (travel requirement: 25–50%).
- Pipeline Progression: Provide regular updates on:
- Project wins/losses (W/L)
- Strike ratios
- Key market challenges
- Proposal Follow-Up: Coordinate follow-ups on open proposals with Market Operations and channel partners to ensure pipeline progression for key components.
We believe you have
A deep technical understanding, and preferably an engineering degree combined with deep knowledge in mixing technologies in (liquid) food applications. Also, you have a minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant work experience, preferably from working with high shear mixers but experience from other food applications is also appropriate. A solid business awareness and a good customer understanding is valuable, as well as a passion to develop our business. Fluency in English, both written and oral is a must. We believe you are a person with a strong energy level and high motivation with great networking skills, able to drive things on your own while finding it easy to collaborate across borders. You also have experience from, and an ability to navigate the customer environment. In this position you will manage various stakeholders, internally, externally and on different levels, therefore it is key that your communications as well as presentations skills are excellent, you are capable of conveying the message to a diverse audience.
