Job Summary


Tetra Pak Processing Systems A/S is looking for an Automation Engineer to join the team. 
As an Automation Engineer, you will have an important role in leading the projects from order to customer takeover. The right candidate must have experience with programming in PLC and HMI (Siemens, Rockwell and Intouch) just as you are expected to have experience in overall communication systems (ethernet, profinet, ASI, etc.). as well as practical and process technical experience, preferably from the food industry.


The position is based in Silkeborg, Denmark, however next year the location will change to Aarhus.

What you will do

•    Participate in the development of project specific PLC & HMI/SCADA software
•    Configure, program and test application programs for PLC & HMI/SCADA software
•    Lead the project from order to customer takeover in close cooperation with the team, internal stakeholders, and customers
•    Clarification of project specifications with the sales team and customers, as well as coordination with other project participants
•    Follow up on budget 
•    Support technicians remotely during commissioning
•    Support and cooperate with the organization as well as customers
•    Drive technical discussions, make quotations for customers
•    Drive continuous improvements and operational excellence in terms of efficiency and quality

We believe you have

•    You have a craftsmanship background with relevant software experience or have completed a relevant theoretical education within automation.
•    You are used to working in a complex and project managed organization, and you thrive on the international perspective. Your daily challenges will be a mix of routine and development tasks.
•    A very good command of Danish and English, both written and verbal.
•    A well-structured person with a strong drive for results and always have an eye for continuous improvement.
•    You have an analytic mindset and can find common solutions
•    You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to create and maintain relationships, as the work includes close contacts with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
•    You offer a strong personal drive, work structured and contribute a good mood, as well as and engage positively in your surroundings.
•    You must be willing to travel approx. 20-30 days a year – mainly site-support, customer order clearance, as well as start-up and commissioning of filtration installations.
