Job Summary


Tetra Pak Processing Solutions and Equipment business specializes in providing integrated industrial food solutions to the industry. Liquid Food Solutions (LFS) is a part of this business responsible for development and manufacturing of solutions, equipment’s (branded processing units and key components) for the processing of liquid foods within different categories (Dairy, Beverage, Plant Based, Prepared Food).  This position will be responsible for driving internal and external sales for manufacturing solutions related to Plant Based products processing. To achieve that, the person will need to combine a good understanding of food manufacturing, especially aseptic processing, with a good commercial acumen and strong communication and leadership skills. 

The location for this position can be flexible between Vernon Hills, IL, Denton, TX, Greater Minneapolis-St Paul region, MN and will be a hybrid position. 

You will be travelling approx. 30% of your time. 

What you will do

As an Application Sales Manager you will: 

  • Be part of the global Plant Based Processing Solutions team and develop expertise in the Tetra Pak portfolio and solutions for Plant Based category. 
  • Take ownership for the assigned markets for achieving the business targets on internal sales and profitability. 
  • Drive and support internal and external sales of Tetra Pak’s portfolio of solutions to existing and new customers in Americas, in close cooperation with the local market organization. 
  • Co-drive the sales process by understanding customer needs, choosing suitable Tetra Pak portfolio for deployment, working with the local sales team to create a competitive offer with right value proposition for the customer. 
  • Develop strong technical and commercial competence in Tetra Pak’s portfolio and provide techno-commercial expertise on portfolio and solutions to local sales organization and to end customers. 
  • Actively plan and execute competence development in markets with respect to Tetra Pak portfolio. 
  • Act as a bridge between local market / sales organization and central business unit to build effective collaboration and rollout of business strategy. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams – engineering, supply chain and others to ensure delivery of the solution is as per committed time and profitability targets. 

We believe you have

  • Technical background with a degree in Food Technology / Food Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / other engineering. 
  • Strong experience in food manufacturing, food processing, including understanding of factory operations. Experience in innovation space will be an added advantage. 
  • At least 5-10 years of working experience within the liquid food industry. 
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Working competence in Spanish will be an added advantage. 
  • Knowledge in Plant Based Processing or B2B equipment sales will be a strong merit. 
  • Good understanding of North American food industry. 
  • This position is expected to take ownership for their geographic area of responsibility to achieve the business targets, while working remotely with the reporting manager.
    • A high degree of autonomy and self-drive will be expected.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and good relationships with local and global colleagues, both in sales and technically oriented positions.
    • Strong commercial focus as well as a strong personal drive with good problem solving and coordination skills.
