Job Summary

We are looking for a Plastic Injection Process Engineer who will be responsible for production line in terms of efficient and effective running process; performing operational losses analysis and propose actions to improve equipment efficiency. In this role you will will contribute to fulfill efficiency and reliability targets, providing to the process the capacity required to accomplish current and future market demand and to achieve factory World Class Manufacturing (WCM) level ambition.
The position is based in Mexicali, Mexico.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position. 

What you will do

As Plastic Injection Process Engineer you will: 

  • Be responsible for the equipment Efficiency, Reliability and Process waste.
  • Responsible to validate molds according to quality standards. 
  • Monitor the result of process key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate accurate loss deployment.
  • Take prompt action to solve process problems to ensure safety, product quality, machine efficiency, etc.
  • Coordinate production schedule among different working processes in collaboration with production planning department. 
  • Be part of Focused improvement pillar, learning and applying improvement tools and participating in Kaizen initiatives.

We believe you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or similar.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Plastic Injection Process and manufacturing processes, with dynamic environment. 
  • Fluent in English & Spanish.
  • Strong knowledge of problem-solving tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) Methodologies like Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Certification in CI methodologies (as Green Belt or TPM, or Instructor) will be a plus.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel (able to work with pivot tables, functions, formulas, etc.)
  • ERP knowledge, nice to have SAP.
  • Power BI knowledge as user will be a plus.
