Service Engineer Peru

Job Summary

We are looking for a Packaging Service Engineer, who will be responsible of executing preventive maintenance of customer packaging equipment as well as execute installation tasks as required.
The position is based in Lima, Peru.
You will be travelling 80 % of your time to our customer sites 
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What you will do

As a Packaging Service Engineer you will: 

• Execute installation tasks, assembling packaging machines.
• Execute preventive maintenance activities in line with global Tetra Pak standard procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment according to defined expectations.
• Execute timely reporting of all discovered Technical Issues according to the QTIM processes.
• Execute installation of relevant rebuilding/upgrade kits according to procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment according to defined expectations.
• Inform relevant Tetra Pak staff about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Tetra Pak service. Inform about any business opportunity discovered at the customer through the relevant channels.
• Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak at all times, ensuring and promoting good working relationships with the customer and that Tetra Pak’s reputation is sustained.
• Execute and complete all relevant reports in an accurate and timely way. Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that proper handover is done.
• Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer safety regulations and requirements. Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak standards and requirements regarding product quality and food safety. Escalate all discovered food safety, quality assurance and regulatory issues.

We believe you have

• A Bachelor´s degree in mechanical, mechatronic, electromechanical engineering or equivalent.
• +3 years experience in Food and Beverage industry is required.
• Experience in maintenance of Packaging equipment is mandatory.
• Ability to independently deliver preventive maintenance, installation tasks and rebuilding kit installations. 
• Some understanding of automation systems such as Allen Bradley frequency drives, Rockwell RSLogix 5000 PLC programming software, Device Net.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to handle multiple stakeholders with a customer focused mindset

• A fluent level of writing and speaking English
• A valid driver’s license
• Excellent communication skills.
