Job Summary


We are currently looking for a Chemical Regulatory Officer in North and South America region.  The main responsibility will be to manage Regulatory Monitoring and Compliance within Chemical Regulatory areas in Processing Solution & Equipment, Services and Packaging Solutions businesses to secure Customers operation and in compliance with Tetra Pak policies and strategies.  This position report to the Food Safety & Chemical Regulatory Manager.
The position is based in Denton, TX.
You may be required to travel 75 % of your time regionally / globally.
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.  

What you will do

  • Define and maintain priority Markets to be focused on for Regulatory Monitoring.
  • Proactive monitoring the regulatory changes in the Priority Markets .
  • Manage local Regulatory Consultants to support monitoring and compliance.
  • Manage key stakeholders who are creating input, decision making and supporting evaluation of monitoring activities to implement compliance requirements. 
  • Support Regulatory Networks and drive global coordination to secure that identified changes in local legislations are followed up.
  • Review Regulatory monitoring and compliance process and tools.
  • Manage local market chemical regulatory ad hoc queries/doubts from Customers or Markets.
  • Transforming local enquiries or addressing regulatory changes into business as usual.
  • Supporting new products introduction in the Markets to be compliance to Chemical Regulatory.
  • Monitoring & compliance to local regulations in all Chemical Regulatory areas for PSE, Services and Packaging Solutions businesses.
  • Create & maintain regulatory library. Maximizing utilization of library by all stakeholders.
  • Maturity assessment internal organization in Regulatory Compliance knowledge. Identifying gaps and performing necessary actions to close the gaps, for example trainings.
  • Support in Control Self-Assessment for Chemical regulatory monitoring and compliance as part of Corporate Risk Assessment.
  • Support compliance of the 3rd Party Suppliers to local Chemical legislation.

We believe you have

  • University Degree in Chemistry or Engineering, Food Technology, Food Law.
  • 5+ years experiences of doing chemical regulatory affairs.
  • Chemical regulatory framework expert for at least 5+ years.
  • Stakeholder management experience to address ad hock cases.
  • Root cause and risks analysis experience.
  • Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience.
  • Proficiency in English is a must. 
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus. 
  • Customer/stakeholder focus, cultural awareness, positive attitude, self-starter, drive, good sense of initiative and responsible, ability to work both independently and as a team player, ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work under informal authority, attention to details.
