Job Summary

We are now extending the Project Management team at Tetra Pak Processing Systems A/S (Tetra Pak Ice Cream Solutions) and looking for a certified Project Manager Professional for handling Ice Cream production lines. You will work in a dynamic environment taking on the overall responsibility for technical complex projects, including responsibility for the quality, budget, scope, delivery on time, and ensuring timely communication to stakeholders and customers. As a Project Manager, you will be part of the project management office within Processing Solution to deliver international projects to our customers – ice cream factories. You will plan, lead, motivate, organize, and collaborate intensely with our Market Operations and Customers by reaching objectives and business requirements and ensuring high customer satisfaction.  
You will be based at our head office in Aarhus, Denmark to join our team working with Ice Cream Machines. The project management team consists of 11 dedicated project managers for Ice Cream which is distributed with a team of 6 PMs located in Aarhus, Denmark, 3 PMs located in Edertal, Germany and 2 located in Kunshan, China.
You are expected to travel typically 30-60 days a year.

What you will do

As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will be:

  • Define, communicate, and manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, risks, and deliverables based on contractual agreements and stakeholders’ requirements for multiple projects at a time
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, changes, and issues
  • Follow up on cost, quality, and schedule 
  • Effectively manage, motivate, and support project teams
  • Follow up on technical issues and secure a solution covering the interests of customers and Tetra Pak
  • Negotiate deviations and processing of “variation orders” towards customers and effectively manage changes along the way
  • Coordination of the construction site activities together with the customers such as support of installation, commissioning, and training and secure lessons learned feedback to the organization from each project
  • Coach project team and other project managers to secure competence transfer and development
  • Participate in pre-order activities incl. Risk Assessments and Risk planning
  • Participate in internal improvement projects within the area of Lean and WCM

We believe you have

  • Several years of experience as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager
  • Preferable experience in Ice Cream machinery or machinery for food processing industry
  • B.Sc. in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Marine Engineer) ideally combined with a PMP (Project Management Professional certification) or equal education and experience documented with a very strong track records 
  • As a person – you have a lot of energy, autonomy, a strong drive for results, and the ability to deliver on time
  • Customer-focused with a good understanding of complex technical solutions, work in a structured way, and have a good overview of your tasks
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be confident in challenging your stakeholders and holding them accountable
  • Furthermore, you are an excellent communicator and have strong and informal authority, and easily work cross-functionally with people on all levels and cultures
  • A willingness to travel as you need to travel and explore the world – typically 30-60 days a year
  • You are fluent in English and preferably Danish, verbally as well as in writing and knowledge in other languages is a plus.
